Jory Simpson

Dr. Jory Simpson obtained his undergraduate degree in Psychology from McGill University and then completed medical school at the University of British Columbia in 2006. He subsequently went on to complete his General Surgery residency training at the University of Toronto. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in 2011. Dr. Simpson completed a Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation funded clinical fellowship in Breast Surgical Oncology. His academic and research interest is in Surgical Education/Humanities and he obtained his Masters degree in Education from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education with a focus on Adult Education and Community Development. He is currently the Division Head of General Surgery at St. Michael’s Hospital and the Director of the MD Program for the Department of Surgery.  In addition to being an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery he is the Associate Director of Postgraduate Learner Affairs.
