Education locations for MAM students

In the first two years of training, medical students are primarily located at the University of Toronto Mississauga (UTM) campus and spend one half-day per week at Trillium Health Partners  (THP) clinical education facilities. In their third year of training, medical students spend the majority of their time learning directly on THP clinical units across three sites under the supervision of clinical staff. Some students do clerkship placements at THP in their fourth year of the University of Toronto MD Program.

Campus assignment and academy selection are part of the admissions process.

Services on campus

MAM students have access to all of the same services as students at the St. George campus. You can speak with our Student Support Administrator regarding any information pertaining to Enrolment Services and the Office of Learner Affairs (OLA).  Some of these services include:

Transportation

The UTM and St. George campuses have a shuttle bus service which runs between both campuses. You may also wish to bookmark UTM's app on your mobile device to access shuttle times more easily.

MAM students also have access to dedicated shuttles for curriculum-related items such as Clinical Skills.

To facilitate the connection between the two campuses, shuttle bus tickets are available for our St. George medical students to travel to and attend special activities at the UTM campus. Please visit the OLA Shuttle Form for more details and processing procedures.

Travel Support Programs for Medical Students

There are currently two travel support programs in place for medical students in years 1-3:

The MAM Travel Support Program is managed through the Temerty Faculty of Medicine administrative office in the TDHSC - 2nd floor at UTM and is intended to ease the travel costs incurred in Years 1 and Year 2 for travel to mandatory placements/sessions that require two or more transit systems or when time spent in transit takes longer than one hour and for Year 3 core clerkship placements that take place outside the MAM catchment area.

If you have any questions about the reimbursement process, please do not hesitate to contact utm.medfinance@utoronto.ca.
