Delon Pereira is the Associate Director of the Standardized Patient Program at the Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto, and oversees all facets of the unit’s business operations. Leading the largest casual staff pool within the Faculty, Delon is dedicated to representing the University with integrity while advocating for the interests and well-being of employees.
Since joining the University in 2017, Delon has focused on driving innovation, enhancing efficiency, proactively planning for academic site expansion, and evolving educational and healthcare simulation. Delon fosters a collaborative work environment that values diverse perspectives and actively embeds Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) principles into business processes. Delon plays a key role in leading national initiatives to strengthen collaboration among Simulated Patient Programs in medical teaching universities and colleges across Canada, promoting knowledge-sharing efforts and the development of a unified scope of practice in healthcare simulations.
Delon is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and holds a Bachelor of Science (Microbiology) from Bangalore University, and a Master of Business Administration from Mount Carmel Institute of Management, Bangalore, India.
