Christopher L. Jones

Christopher Jones is Manager, Strategic Projects & Accreditation in the MD Program, Temerty Faculty of Medicine. Chris began his career in higher education administration in 2005. In addition to his early experiences in residence life and student affairs, he has also worked in health professions admissions, academic affairs, and university governance.

With the University of Toronto since 2009, Chris has held positions at the University of Toronto Mississauga, the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering, and the Temerty Faculty of Medicine. Most recently, he navigated the MD Program at Temerty Medicine through its 2020 CACMS Accreditation Survey, including a first-ever virtual site visit. He started as Project Manager, Accreditation in 2015 and became Manager, Strategic Projects & Accreditation in 2021.

Chris holds an MEd in Education in the Professions from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at UofT and is currently completing a PhD in Higher Education – also at OISE – where he hopes to focus his research on issues of access, inclusion, and identity development in professional education programs.
