Chris Willer

Dr. Chris Willer graduated from the University of British Columbia Faculty of Medicine in 2007 after a career as a secondary school teacher in Toronto. He completed his residency training at the University of Toronto Psychiatry Residency program in 2012. He has been a staff psychiatrist at St. Michael’s Hospital, Unity Health Toronto since then supporting learners. He completed the Education Scholar’s Program through The Centre for Faculty Development at Unity Health Toronto and the University of Toronto’s Temerty Faculty of Medicine in 2016-2018 with an emphasis on both the student in difficulty and the supervisor in difficulty. From 2014-2023, Dr. Willer enjoyed working with post-graduate learners in his role as Site Director, Department of Psychiatry at St. Michael’s Hospital. In his current role as the Temerty Faculty of Medicine Director, Academic Advising he is excited to have the opportunity to help medical students achieve their academic goals.
