2018 Better Together Education Awards

Every year Trillium Health Partners (THP) recognizes and celebrates our people who play a vital role in delivering excellent patient care. The celebrations occur in month of May and Better Together Awards are one of the key component of these celebrations. These awards recognize the outstanding contributions of our people who are serving, leading, learning and teaching together to ensure our patients and their families receive exceptional care.

One of the subset of these awards include Education Awards. THP in partnership with the Mississauga Academy of Medicine (MAM) are excited to announce the 2018 Better Together Education Awards.

As a teaching hospital, THP works with many academic institutions to educate the next generation of healthcare providers in medicine, allied health and nursing. THP provides clinical placements for 216 medical students from The University of Toronto’s Mississauga Academy of Medicine. Additionally, thousands of nursing and allied health students from many colleges and universities are on placement at THP every year. Better Together Education Awards, jointly designed by THP and MAM recognize excellence in teaching and learning by all staff, students and physicians.

All Students are encouraged to nominate faculty, administrative staff members at MAM or THP and community agencies that provide outstanding teaching, support and special contributions to their learning experience at Trillium Health Partners and the MAM Campus Office at the University of Toronto Mississauga.

All U of T faculty are encouraged to reflect on students they encountered over the past year and submit a nomination package for medical (undergraduate and/or post graduate) students.

Nominations for the 2018 Better Together Education Awards are now open and will close on March 31, 2018. Education awards will be presented during Better Together Week taking place at THP on May 14 – 18, 2018.
