Service learning opportunities provide you with a chance to serve vulnerable local communities, while learning about social determinants of health in the process. There are over 26 community affairs programs recognized by the Medical Society (MedSoc). You can mentor youth, serve vulnerable populations in a clinical setting, help translate newcomer patient histories into English, among many opportunities.
You can also shadow physicians in bilingual or french clinics as part of the FrancoDoc initiative.
