Applying for the Summer Mentorship Program

How to apply

Please complete the online application if you want to apply to the 2017 Summer Mentorship Program.  Please note that you must be 16 by June 30, 2017 to be eligible for this program.  If you successfully complete the program you earn a GLN40 for Navigating the Workplace.  To begin the application you'll need to connect with your Guidance office so that you can get a copy of your transcript.  Your Provincial Report Card will not be accepted as a substitute for your transcript.

In the application you'll be asked to provide your name, your gender, your contact information, the contact information for your Guidance Counsellor/Teacher, the contact information for your parent/guardian, and emergency contact information.  To complete the application you’ll be asked to provide a statement of interest explaining what makes you a good candidate for the program.  The statement of interest requires reflection and you are encouraged to write your answer in advance and cut and paste it into the application to avoid any disruptions to the application process.

Deadlines

The deadline for the SMP is March 24, 2017 — but, since space is limited, please apply early.  If you complete and submit the application by January 13, 2017 you will be invited for an interview in late January. Successful early applicants will receive early admission for the SMP.
